Prost! Marketplace

Oregon’s freshest Fresh Hop event kicks off the seasonal hop harvest celebrations with two solid weeks of fun September 16-29th. The Portland Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest returns for it’s 4th year at Portland’s “top food cart pod” the Prost! Marketplace on N. Mississippi Ave. The beer garden features ten food trucks and ten rotating taps. Each day of this two week fresh hop marathon will feature special tappings and themes from some of the best breweries in Oregon and Washington.

Fresh Hop beers are made only once a year when the annual hop harvest takes place in late summer to autumn. Hops, a cone flower used for flavor and bittering beer, are harvested just once a year and processed and dried but fresh hop beers use rare undried, oily and very green hops delivered straight from the farm. Oregon and Washington grow the majority of hops in the United States and thus have access to fresh hops that are typically used within 24 hours of picking.

The Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest is a two week, all-day 8am - 9/10pm beer garden rotating ten drafts of fresh hop beers with one fresh hop cider dedicated draft. Bloodbuzz, the outdoor beer cart in the Prost! Marketplace will feature $6 pints and $4 10oz pours of fresh hop beers each day, no cover charge or tickets necessary. Prost! Marketplace is also all-ages friendly on a covered, outdoor, elevated deck that has been called Portland’s “top food cart pod” by The Oregonian.

The Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest is all-ages and opens at 8am, 7-days a week and closes at 9pm on weekdays, 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. No cover charge or tickets, beers individually priced. Food available from the local vendors. Beer lists subject to change, follow us on facebook or twitter or instagram at freshhopfest for updates. The Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest is presented by Portland Beer Week, Prost and Bloodbuzz.
